MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS for Dual Channel mode. Kingston offers "K2" kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode.
If 4GB is installed, the recognized memory may be reduced to 3.5GB or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). A 64-bit Operating System is required to utilize more than 4GB of memory.
To reach maximum 32GB, populate four (4) memory sockets with 8GB quad-rank Registered DIMMs. System supports up to four (4) quad-rank Registered DIMMs at DDR3-800Mhz speed.
Intel Core i5 and i7 series processors support ECC-Unbuffered DIMMs only, they do not support Registered nor ECC-Unbuffered DIMMs. Xeon 3400 series processors support Registered or ECC-Unbuffered DIMMs.
System does not support mixing Registered, ECC Unbuffered and non-ECC Unbuffered DIMMs.
