MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS for Dual Channel mode. Kingston offers "K2" kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode.
If installing only two DIMMs into a Memory Bank, it is recommended that the DIMMs are installed in slots DIMM6 and DIMM7 to get the full bandwidth.
Mixing DDR2-533 Registered DIMMs with DDR2-667 Registered with Parity DIMMs is not recommended.
Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.
To achieve 64GB using DDR2-667 (32GB per processor bank), 4GB Single Rank modules must be installed. There is a limit of eight memory ranks per processor bank at this speed, using either FOUR Dual Rank modules, or EIGHT Single Rank modules. If more than four Single Rank 667MHz DDR2 DIMMs are installed (per processor bank), the system may clock the memory down to 533MHz.
