Technical Notes
MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS for Dual Channel mode. Kingston offers "K2" kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode. All modules must be identical for Dual Channel with Dynamic Mode. Only AMD Opterons 246 and higher support DDR400 memory. This system only supports 6 ranks of DDR400 memory. If more than 6 ranks of memory are installed, the memory will clock down to 333MHz. Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank. If featured, Chipkill technology is supported with x4 modules only. When running an 800MHz FSB, DDR333 will clock at 320MHz only.
