Technical Notes
HDAMA is supporting PC3200 memory with part number ending in D6 and after. You may find the part number on the motherboard such as 40-CMB000-D600. Only AMD Opteron 246 or higher supports DDR400 memory. MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS. Kingston offers "K2" kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode. Using DDR400, this system supports only four ranks per CPU. Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank. Chipkill technology is supported with x4 modules only. KRX3200K2/xx parts have a timing of 3-3-3 (AMD approved) KRX3200AK2/xx parts have a timing of 2.5-3-3
